GO TROJANS!!!
Summer Camp Starts
June 1st will be the first day of summer camp for both Varsity and JV. Camp will meet Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays until June 25th. A tentative game schedule is posted here.
The End of Great Season!!!
If you asked more than a few people at the beginning of the season about the expectations of the 2009 Trojan Baseball Team, most would of said something comparable to: "this might not be our most favorable year". As the season progressed, though, the Trojans proved as usual they were a team that could produce wins. We would like to say THANK YOU for a great season and you make us all proud to be Trojans!
Congratulation to the 2009 Seniors - Eric Britain, Brent Cunningham, Mason Hutchins, Justin Hasley, Jake Maske, Conner Reese, Blake Vinson. You guys have been more than just leaders on and off the field and we are going to miss you, but you will always be Trojans.
Also, big kudos to the coaching staff, you guys (as usual) did a great job with both player and game management. We couldn't ask for better staff to push our boys to be the best they can be.
And last but not least in the process of producing a high quality ball club, the Diamond Club did a great job keeping the support team organized. We as parents recognize the extra hours, stress and headaches that come with keeping volunteers organized. This year seemed to be more challenging than others, but all of you did a great job, Thank you!
Proud to be a Trojan!
Fairhope vs. Daphne
It was everything you expect from two top 6A ball clubs. The energy, the fans, the players, all had the focus to win a series in two games....but not tonight. The first game was 1-0 Daphne. But game two really got interesting with Daphne taking a lose 5-3 with a couple of errors on Daphne and not enough bat at the end to come back.
We all know at this level one error can be the game, but all in all the two teams did what was expected.... to go three and play another game on Saturday at 12:00.
From a fan view..I think Fairhope fans did a great job at supporting their team and showing up at Trojan Field in the droves (Good job!!!). From a Daphne Trojan view "We work ours off so we can kick yours"
Go Trojans!!!
The Road To The 6A State Championship
The road to State starts with Foley. The game is Friday 17th, 1:00pm @ Trojan
Field. The last meeting of these two teams left the Trojans with two loses in an away doubleheader battle. No matter what the sport, Foley and Daphne always enjoy a good competitive game. Everyone should come out and support the Trojans on the road to State. Click here for a complete look at the playoff bracket.
Congratulation to the 2009 Trojan Team
The last regular season game played against the Baker Hornets with a 5-4 win. We saw pitching from Conner Reese, Jake Maske, and Russ Mosley. It was a great game to the end of the 7th inning with Eric Britain poking in the winning run. This game like many before was another excellent team effort from both the defense and the offense with every player doing their jobs. We would like to congratulate all the Trojan players for an exciting and entertaining regular baseball season, you guys have done at great job!
