Coach's Corner

Looks like we made it through another summer. I hope everyone is well and read to begin the 2010-11 year. I've spent the last month preparing the off-season workout schedule. It is fairly set but I am still looking at some numbers to set up hitting times.

The 2011 Varsity and JV schedules are done but won't be set in stone until I get contracts back from the other teams. We will post everything soon.

We have a lot of work ahead of us and I know we have good people in place to lead us forward. We will miss Coach Woerner. I will replace him offically soon.

Thanks to all who worked hard to help us raise money this summer. The coaching staff and boosted club raised $4500 from the Developmental League and the Jubilee Wood Bat Classic.

The Taste of the Eastern Shore is running its course and looks like a great boost for the program. We will next be looking forward to making our annual golf tournament bigger and better.

June 1  Tuesday

Underclassmen Showcase ( www.alabca.com ) to sign up. We are               members so it is 25.00

June 3   Thursday

 Meeting for all varsity and developmental league participants. 6:00 at the field.

Again, the booster club has done a fine job sending our seniors and their families off with a  feeling that the future will bright and baseball memories will be fond. Great banquet. Thanks for all the help.

Summer is rapidly approaching and the summer schedule is getting finalized as soon as possible. I will post the schedule for camp and games soon. Do not forget to sign up for the underclassmen showcase on June 1st. Go to www.alabca.com  (This is only for upcoming 10-12 who believe they have the skills to compete at a state level)

Remember that we will work hard the month of June and take July off. The schedule has us starting June 1st and being through June 24th. Please commit to this time because we have a lot of evaluating to do.

The wood bat tournament is scheduled for June 17-19.
