It's Time For Baseball!
On Monday the players put on their new cloth, laced up those new Nikes and
stepped out onto the immaculate Trojan Field. The start of the season is underway and I know everyone is excited and anxious, especially the players. The Trojan Baseball Program has a strong tradition of teamwork which includes all facets of the organization. The players, parents, coaches, and the community have always worked together to make this program something we all can be proud of - That Tradition Continues!
Last years team came into the season with some doubts and concerns about their abilities to make any type of respectable run at the playoffs and with a season start of 2-2 those doubts seemed valid. But with hard work, determination, and coaching the 2009 Team soon proved they were in it for the long haul finishing the season 23-7 and bring the season to a close in the third round of the playoffs. - The Tradition Continues!
This year the Varsity Team will roster 9 senior, 8 juniors, and 2 sophomores and all of them passionate and full of pride for the Daphne Trojan Baseball Team. What this team may lack in superstars they make up for in experience and dedication. We all know a team wins the game not an individual. The first season game starts with the traditional Hank Aaron Classic hosted by Foley this year, which Daphne faces Robertsdale on February 15th at 4:00pm. Hope to see everyone out there. - The Tradition Continues!
We wish all the players, especially the seniors a terrific and fun packed season. And to all the parents, friends, family, and students we look forward to the time we will spend at the park with all of you. See you at the park. -The Tradition Continues!
